Appliances have played a large role in my life today. Red lipstick for a blowdryer. A new toaster. My iron, which I have developed a rather serious relationship with the past hour.

I am terrified. About Prom. There's alot of thought involved in the whole situation. I am concocting elaborate plans involving boutineeres and curling irons. I have made three lists with detailed diagrams. Cait's coming over tomorrow for backup. It's a good thing Miles and Birk are going. Or I might be anxious.

Dad and I were driving back for the Diner today when Mr. Healey and Cait pulled up next to us on Route 28. We waved. Dad said that's the closest he's ever gotten to Cait's dad before. It's funny because it's true.
