clove gum...I will never understand clove gum. it just doesn't seem like two things that should go together...but I know Cait loves it. she used to get it in Vermont, and she was estatic when Victory started carrying it by the registers.
I love circus peanuts. my great-grandmother would always have them for us when we visited. circus peanuts and the oh-so-grandmotherly hard candies. they're orange and unnatural, with a texture that isn't normally associated with something you can eat. but there's something about the feel of them, the softness and the sticky, sweet taste. they're intangible..but, my god, I love them.

chelsea's the only other person I know who likes them. but then, she dangled her feet above yellow linoleum and listened to her stories, too. maybe that's the secret.

God Bless Ruth. She was a wonderful lady. We'll all miss her...
