I believe in love.
I believe in best friends and sisters and childhoods. I believe in religon and freedom of speech. I believe people are essentially good, I believe in kindness and understanding and being polite. I believe in dreams and nightmares and heaven on earth, in angels and aliens and standing in the rain. I believe in sunscreen, seatbelts, designated drivers and daily vitamins. I believe in summer vacations and long nights, whispered secrets and song lyrics, knowing who you are and having goals. I believe in hope and prayer and singing when you feel like singing. I believe in the truth, I believe in little lies to the people you don't want to hurt. I believe in education. I believe in collecting leaves in the fall and seeing your breath. I believe in telling someone when you care for them. I believe in good poetry...I believe in bad poetry that you thought was good when you wrote it in highschool. I believe in puns and reading the newspaper everday. I believe in laughter, and waking up next to the boy you've loved for three years. I believe in promises.

you should have more faith in yourself

maybe,
maybe sometimes,
you can just run out of things to believe in.
