I know I've already written about freaks and geeks, but tonight I'm telling you to go out and see it. buy it. borrow it from me when I enevitably spend the fifty dollars on pure nineteen eighties high school melodramas and music. you'll never have so much respect for dungeons and dragons or black sabbath.

for the first time, I deliberately disobeyed my parents and had m over last night . they enjoyed their day in rhode island, and we enjoyed having the house to ourselves. everyone came out a winner.

despite the obvious annoyances of work and curfews and trundle beds in back rooms, this is one of my best summers. I love game night and beach days and all the times in between that I spend in plymouth. I'd missed rehearsal and air-conditioned movie theatres, and driving aimlessly and singing the songs we know so well, and late nights spent in the dark.

but I'm still counting the days until salem.
